Handoff Report — Split-Screen Editorial Carousel Audit
Forensic Audit Report
Work Product: Codebase modifications for Split-Screen Editorial Carousel Profile: General Project Verdict: CLEAN
Phase Results
- Hardcoded output detection: PASS — No hardcoded test results, expected outputs, or dummy values were found in the modified source files.
- Facade detection: PASS — No placeholder or facade implementations were detected; all components and backend handlers contain genuine logic.
- Pre-populated artifact detection: PASS — Checked for pre-populated log or verification files; no fabricated logs exist.
- Type integrity: PASS — Verified there are no
as anycasts, typescript bypasses (ts-ignore/ts-expect-error), or workarounds in the modified sections. - Schema matching: PASS — Zod schema validations for
layoutandimagePositionare defined in@homaroma/typesand fully handled by MCP tools, forms, and renderers. - Behavioral Verification (Build): PASS — Successfully built and compiled all workspaces (
apps/admin,apps/spa,apps/website,apps/mcp-server) with zero TypeScript errors.
1. Observation
Observation 1: Zod Schema in packages/types/index.ts
In /home/ti/git/homaroma/packages/types/index.ts, the Zod schema configuration for the carousel section is defined as follows:
375: export const EditorialCarouselSectionPayloadSchema = z.object({
376: title: LocalizedStringSchema,
377: backgroundColor: z.string().optional(),
378: textColor: z.string().optional(),
379: layout: z.enum(['standard', 'split_screen']).optional(),
380: imagePosition: z.enum(['left', 'right']).optional(),
381: slides: z.array(z.object({
382: category: LocalizedStringSchema,
383: title: LocalizedStringSchema,
384: description: LocalizedStringSchema,
385: imageUrl: z.string().min(1),
386: buttonText: LocalizedStringSchema.optional(),
387: buttonLink: z.string().optional(),
388: })).min(1)
389: });
Observation 2: MCP Tool Config in apps/mcp-server/section-toolkit.ts
In /home/ti/git/homaroma/apps/mcp-server/section-toolkit.ts, the metadata and updating config for editorial carousel are fully registered:
274: layout: { type: "string", enum: ["standard", "split_screen"], description: "Layout style of the carousel (standard or split_screen)" },
275: imagePosition: { type: "string", enum: ["left", "right"], description: "Position of the image relative to text when layout is split_screen (left or right)" },
No mock payload validations or mock data hardcoding exist inside the handler:
573: const res = await api.put(`/pages/sections/${params.sectionId}`, {
574: type: config.sectionType,
575: payload: mergedPayload
576: });
Observation 3: React Admin Form in apps/admin/src/components/page-builder/EditorialCarouselForm.tsx
In /home/ti/git/homaroma/apps/admin/src/components/page-builder/EditorialCarouselForm.tsx, the layout options are fully bound to inputs:
91: <select
92: value={editingSection.payload?.layout || 'standard'}
93: onChange={(e) => setEditingSection({
...
105: <select
106: value={editingSection.payload?.imagePosition || 'left'}
107: disabled={editingSection.payload?.layout !== 'split_screen'}
Observation 4: SPA Rendering in apps/spa/src/components/DynamicEditorialCarousel.tsx
In /home/ti/git/homaroma/apps/spa/src/components/DynamicEditorialCarousel.tsx, the rendering checks layout settings and renders standard vs. split screen:
76: const isSplitScreen = payload.layout === 'split_screen';
77: const imagePosition = payload.imagePosition || 'left';
And standard/split_screen logic renders:
105: {isSplitScreen ? (
106: <div className={`group grid grid-cols-1 border border-pop-black/10 bg-night-900 rounded-3xl overflow-hidden shadow-sm transition-all duration-300 hover:border-pop-pink/30 ${
107: imagePosition === 'left' ? 'md:grid-cols-[65%_35%]' : 'md:grid-cols-[35%_65%]'
108: }`}>
Observation 5: Website Rendering in apps/website/src/components/dynamic/DynamicPageRenderer.tsx
In /home/ti/git/homaroma/apps/website/src/components/dynamic/DynamicPageRenderer.tsx, the Next.js/SSR renderer handles the same conditions:
405: const isSplitScreen = payload.layout === 'split_screen'
406: const imagePosition = typeof payload.imagePosition === 'string' ? payload.imagePosition : 'left'
Observation 6: Successful Builds
- Admin build output:
dist/assets/index-YS9BDHsZ.js 1,731.79 kB │ built in 1.29s - SPA build output:
dist/assets/index-DkqpNY8A.js 874.47 kB │ built in 1.35s - Website build output:
Compiled successfully in 5.1s. Finished TypeScript in 6.9s - MCP Server check:
bunx tsc -p tsconfig.json --noEmitcompleted successfully.
2. Logic Chain
- Genuine Logic: Observations 4 & 5 demonstrate that the split-screen styling and image positioning are governed dynamically by the payload fields (
payload.layoutandpayload.imagePosition) that are retrieved from the database, not by mock/hardcoded values. No mock bypasses exist. - Type Integrity: Verification of modified files shows that no typescript directives (
@ts-ignore/@ts-expect-error) were added, and no type-bypassas anycasts were used. Type checking passes fully on all apps, verifying standard-compliant types. - Schema Matching: Zod validation schemas match tool definitions, form controls, and SPA/Website renderers correctly, covering layout options ('standard' / 'split_screen') and imagePosition options ('left' / 'right').
- Behavioral Integrity: Observation 6 confirms that all TypeScript code passes compile-time type verification checks.
3. Caveats
No caveats. All files have been built and reviewed directly, matching the spec.
4. Conclusion
The Split-Screen Editorial Carousel implementation is CLEAN. There are no integrity violations, no mock/dummy logic, no typescript bypasses, and the Zod schemas match the rendered/validated properties perfectly.
5. Verification Method
To independently verify the audit results, run:
# 1. Run type check on SPA
cd apps/spa && bun run build
# 2. Run type check on Admin
cd apps/admin && bun run build
# 3. Run type check on Website
cd apps/website && bun run build
# 4. Run type check on MCP Server
cd apps/mcp-server && bun run check
Inspect files packages/types/index.ts, apps/spa/src/components/DynamicEditorialCarousel.tsx, apps/website/src/components/dynamic/DynamicPageRenderer.tsx to verify standard vs split_screen layout branches.
