# Handoff Report — Sentinel

## Observation
|
|
The category image update feature has been successfully implemented and verified across the backend and the MCP server.
|
|
- Modified: `apps/backend/src/routes/categories.ts` (added PATCH endpoint `/categories/:id/image`)
|
|
- Modified: `apps/mcp-server/index.ts` (added `update_category_image` tool schema & handler)
|
|
- Added tests:

|
|

|
## Logic Chain
|
|
- Adding the dedicated `PATCH /categories/:id/image` endpoint provides a granular API for image updates without exposing generic category updates.
|
|
- Registering the `update_category_image` tool in the MCP server exposes the functionality to AI/client agents via standard JSON-RPC.
|
|
- The Victory Auditor verified the timeline, checked for hardcoding/facades, and executed independent tests which all passed.
|
|
|
|
## Caveats
|
|
- No migrations were necessary since the category table schema in Prisma already contained the optional `imageUrl` field.
|
|
- Endpoints do not enforce fine-grained admin roles yet, which is consistent with other pre-existing categories routes.
|
|
|
|
## Conclusion

- Independent programmatic execution of integration tests verifying correct category image updates and nulling.
